Position Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) at MATS, you will work directly with children with autism to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
This role is suitable for patient, caring individuals who want to provide direct behavioral support and contribute to the development of children with autism.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in home, school, and community settings
Implement individualized treatment and behavior plans as directed by the BCBA
Collect and maintain accurate session data and progress notes
Use ABA techniques such as discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, prompting/fading, and reinforcement
Communicate effectively with families and clinical team members
Attend supervision meetings and professional development sessions
Maintain RBT certification and meet BACB supervision requirements
Follow all safety protocols and MATS policies
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
Ability to pass a background check
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Interest in working with children with autism
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
Current RBT certification
Experience in ABA therapy, special education, or childcare
