Position Summary

The Early Intervention Clinic Director is responsible for the overall clinical, operational, and financial performance of the Early Intervention Clinic. This leadership role oversees all aspects of service delivery for children receiving ABA and related early intervention services, ensuring high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, staff development, client satisfaction, and program growth.

The Clinic Director serves as the primary leader of the clinic and is responsible for creating a positive culture focused on clinical excellence, family-centered care, staff engagement, and operational efficiency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

  • Provide clinical oversight of all early intervention services.

  • Ensure treatment recommendations are evidence-based and aligned with best practices.

  • Review assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation for quality and compliance.

  • Monitor client progress and treatment outcomes.

  • Support BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and other clinical staff through coaching and mentorship.

  • Ensure compliance with BACB ethical standards and organizational policies.

  • Assist in resolving complex clinical concerns and parent issues.


Clinic Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and client coverage.

  • Collaborate with scheduling and intake teams to maximize service utilization.

  • Monitor clinic productivity and operational performance.

  • Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency and service quality.

  • Participate in strategic planning and clinic expansion initiatives.

  • Ensure clinic readiness for audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory inspections.


Staff Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain qualified staff.

  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.

  • Develop individualized staff growth and professional development plans.

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to BCBAs, BCaBAs, and other clinical staff.

  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and trainings.

  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional excellence.

  • Address employee concerns and support conflict resolution.


Family & Community Relations

  • Build strong relationships with clients and families.

  • Address family concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and quality of care.

  • Participate in community outreach and professional networking activities.

  • Develop relationships with referral sources, physicians, schools, and community organizations.


Financial & Business Performance

  • Monitor clinic census, utilization, and revenue metrics.

  • Support budget planning and resource allocation.

  • Identify opportunities for clinic growth and service expansion.

  • Monitor staff productivity and billable performance.

  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals and financial targets.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with BACB standards, HIPAA regulations, payer requirements, and state regulations.

  • Oversee documentation quality and audit readiness.

  • Monitor incident reporting and risk management procedures.

  • Implement quality improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and credentials.


Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field.

Certification

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing ABA services.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Experience managing clinic operations and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience working with children receiving early intervention services.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-site leadership experience.

  • Experience with insurance-funded ABA services.

  • Experience overseeing intake, assessments, authorizations, and scheduling processes.

  • Strong knowledge of operational and financial performance metrics.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the clinic environment.

  • Ability to observe client sessions and staff performance.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.

  • Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed.
