Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving client acquisition and revenue growth to achieve MATS Healthcare's 2026 goal of $5 million in annual revenue. This role oversees the entire client acquisition process, including referral partner development, marketing execution, lead generation, and intake pipeline management.
The ideal candidate will help grow the client base from 38 to 103 families (+65 new families) within 12 months, directly supporting our mission to serve the approximately 1,500 children with ASD in the Fayette County service area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Referral Partner Development
Build and maintain relationships with 20+ referral partners within the first 30 days, including pediatricians, developmental specialists, and schools.
Conduct regular in-person visits to pediatric offices in Tyrone, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Newnan, and Fairburn.
Develop partnerships with school districts and special education coordinators.
Create and deliver educational materials about ABA services to referral sources.
Track referral performance and optimize partnerships based on conversion data.
Lead Generation & Marketing
Execute digital marketing campaigns (Facebook, Google Ads) to generate qualified leads.
Implement and manage Ontraport marketing automation and email nurture sequences.
Integrate Weave phone system for lead capture and tracking.
Engage with parent support groups, community events, and autism awareness organizations.
Develop marketing content including social media posts, emails, and promotional materials.
Plan and execute seasonal campaigns (e.g., back-to-school, summer intensive programs).
Pipeline Management & Conversion
Manage the full client acquisition funnel: Lead → Qualified → Scheduled → Showed → Enrolled.
Coordinate with the Intake Coordinator to process 3-4 new client intakes weekly.
Maintain a pipeline of 25–30+ families in intake stages to support quarterly targets.
Implement lead response protocols ensuring contact within 24 hours of inquiry.
Develop follow-up systems to convert warm leads and reduce pipeline drop-off.
Reporting & Analytics
Track and report weekly lead volume by source (referrals, digital, organic).
Monitor conversion rates at each funnel stage and identify improvement opportunities.
Calculate and optimize cost per acquisition across marketing channels.
Submit weekly Business Development Report to Director of Operations.
Provide monthly marketing ROI analysis and quarterly strategic recommendations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Clinical Director to align client capacity with lead generation.
Work with Intake Coordinator on handoff protocols for qualified leads.
Partner with Billing Team to understand insurance and payer mix optimization.
Support HR recruiting efforts for clinical staff to maintain service capacity.
Provide market intelligence to leadership for strategic planning.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
Experience building referral partnerships with healthcare providers preferred.
Demonstrated success with B2C marketing and lead generation.
Required Skills & Competencies
Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation (Ontraport preferred), and analytics tools.
Experience with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads).
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze metrics and optimize strategies.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Understanding of healthcare industry and HIPAA compliance requirements.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in ABA, behavioral health, pediatric healthcare, or special needs services.
Familiarity with Fayette County, South Atlanta, and surrounding metro areas.
Existing relationships with pediatricians or developmental specialists in the region.
Experience with Weave phone integration system.
MBA or advanced degree.
Compensation & Performance
Performance-Based Incentives:
Quarterly bonus eligibility based on achieving 80%+ of targets:
New client enrollment (10/month Q1, 5/month Q2–Q4)
Referral partner activation (20+ in Q1, maintained throughout year)
Pipeline maintenance (25–30+ families in intake stages)

Work Environment
Hybrid role: office-based with 50%+ field work visiting referral partners.
Service area: Tyrone, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Newnan, Fairburn, and South Atlanta suburbs.
Standard business hours with flexibility for community events and partner meetings.
Mileage reimbursement provided for field visits.
