Job Description
Myers Assessment and Therapeutic Services (MATS) is hiring experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for our Complex Behavior Program. This role supports adolescents and young adults (ages 12–28) with severe and high-intensity behaviors, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and crisis-level behaviors.
This position is ideal for RBTs who are confident, compassionate, and experienced working in structured, BCBA-led environments with strong clinical support.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA therapy
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Use evidence-based strategies (FCT, differential reinforcement, antecedent interventions)
Respond to and manage crisis situations using SafetyCare techniques
Collect accurate data and complete session documentation
Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical leadership, and families
Maintain a safe, trauma-informed treatment environment
Work in clinic, community, and home settings as needed
Required Qualifications
Active RBT certification (BACB)
Minimum 2 years of experience with severe or challenging behaviors
Experience with adolescents and/or young adults
Ability to safely implement physical interventions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in complex or crisis-level ABA settings
Experience with autism, intellectual disabilities, or co-occurring diagnoses
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience with CentralReach
Training in trauma-informed care
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move quickly for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely respond to aggressive or crisis behaviors
Compensation & Benefits
$24–$26/hour base pay
$2/hour Complex Behavior differential
Bi-weekly pay (direct deposit)
Overtime eligible
Paid SafetyCare training and CEUs
Supervision hours toward BCBA/BCaBA (for eligible staff)
Mileage reimbursement for community sessions
